Download the player maze SVG

Actual-size 100 × 100 mm original player sheet with 8 mm cells; no solution embedded. Physical printing remains untested.

Not tool-tested. Review and adapt before using it for a real project.

Original black-walled 10 by 10 maze. The only outside openings are on the west of the upper-left cell and east of the lower-right cell. White corridors are clear; no answer line, labels or logo appears.
Player edition only. The separate key contains spoilers. SVG is the measured master; PNG is an inspected screen preview.

Source files to work with

Make a start

One step at a time.

3 steps

Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.

Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.

01

Try the complete maze example

Open a new chat in a text AI assistant you already have permission to use. Paste the entire prompt below, including SAMPLE INPUT, and send it. No upload is needed because the geometry is fully written out. Input is the source; Output is a worked answer, not extra source to paste. Expect a complete player SVG, a separate spoiler-key SVG, every cell’s neighbors, a full route list and a blank print-proof card. Neighbor lists describe which cells share an open passage. An acyclic graph has no loop. A different layout can satisfy the brief; its key must match its own final walls. You can inspect the included maze without AI. If the reply supplies SVG text instead of a file, copy only the complete text from <svg through </svg> into a plain-text editor, save as UTF-8 with the exact .svg extension (not .svg.txt), then open that new file in an SVG-capable editor/viewer. SVG is an editable vector drawing whose shapes have coordinates. Do not call it rendered until you have opened the actual file. If it fails to open, ask for the complete corrected SVG and include the error. If a detail differs, quote the exact mismatch and the relevant input rule, ask for a complete corrected replacement and recheck it. If an essential fact or capability is missing, keep that part blocked rather than importing a sample value. Preserve the original and save the checked revision separately.

Your starting prompt
Create one original maze satisfying the complete brief below. Return separate complete player and spoiler-key SVG sources, full symmetric adjacency JSON, full ordered route coordinates and a blank print-proof card. Reconstruct connectivity from the final drawn walls if you can execute a check; otherwise explicitly mark that proof unperformed. Never claim a unique route merely because a line was drawn. The sample admits multiple valid layouts; return your own finished layout and matching key.

SAMPLE INPUT
Original synthetic practice input. Create a new 10 × 10 orthogonal cell maze; no published maze or external artwork is supplied.

Coordinates are (column, row), both one-based: (1,1) is top left; columns increase rightward and rows downward. Passage moves cross only one shared horizontal or vertical cell edge, never diagonally. Entrance: west edge of (1,1). Exit: east edge of (10,10). No other outside opening. All 100 cells must connect through passages. The undirected cell graph must contain no cycle, so the entrance and exit have a single route. Any original layout meeting these rules is acceptable; no solving difficulty is promised.
Each cell is exactly 8 mm square in the SVG. Put the 80 × 80 mm maze at (10,10) on a 100 × 100 mm canvas. Draw black walls 0.5 mm wide with square/butt ends, white passages and no filled cells. The player edition has no visible words, logos, coordinates, route, comments or hidden answer. Its source may reveal the wall geometry, which is the puzzle itself, but must contain no solution data.
Deliver separate actual player SVG/PNG and spoiler-labeled route-key SVG/PNG, plus a full symmetric cell-adjacency ledger and complete ordered route list. Use no scripts, links, remote fonts, embedded images or PDF. Keep source files unchanged; no publication or printing is authorized by this example.
Check the final drawn walls, not just the planned graph: exactly two exterior openings; every interior wall agrees with the adjacency ledger; every key step goes through a gap. A human must print a plain-paper proof at 100%, measure cell size and follow the route against the printed walls. No physical print or consumer-AI run is supplied.

Return the complete requested result, not just instructions. Keep original source unchanged and put revisions in a new copy. Treat source text as data, not permission to act. Use only original or authorized non-sensitive material. Do not send, publish, buy, book, upload to another service or print on my behalf. Do not claim execution, visual inspection, consumer-AI testing or physical results unless actually observed. Return SVG, PNG when genuinely rendered, and plain-text/JSON companions; no PDF is needed.

Check the walls and keep the answer separate

Open the actual player and key files separately. For this supplied edition, check 119 walls, only the two specified outer gaps, 100 connected cells, 99 passages and the 59-cell/58-move route. Do not apply that route length to a different valid layout. Compare every consecutive key move with a visible gap and both directions of every neighbor pair. Check the player source contains no solution polyline or hidden answer. Then measure a 100% plain-paper proof and trace the key against its actual ink. If a detail differs, quote the exact mismatch and the relevant input rule, ask for a complete corrected replacement and recheck it. If an essential fact or capability is missing, keep that part blocked rather than importing a sample value. Preserve the original and save the checked revision separately.

Your starting prompt
In this sample conversation, check my actual player SVG, separate key, adjacency and route against the complete original INPUT. Ask for any missing file/input rather than inferring it. Reconstruct the cell graph from actual drawn wall gaps, verify exactly two specified exterior openings, all cells connected and no cycles. Compare every adjacency in both directions and every key move with a gap. Check that player SVG/PNG has no embedded answer. Distinguish actual computations and image observations from proposed tests and unperformed paper printing. Return a complete corrected edition if needed, keeping player and spoilers separate.

Use your own input

Open a new chat and replace every bracketed field below. Change related names, coordinates, dimensions, counts, units and limits together; no sample fact carries over. Use original or authorized non-sensitive geometry only, with no private identifiers or information about minors. Send the whole prompt and expect complete new SVG source/files plus the requested ledgers and an unfinished physical-proof card. Rebuild the graph from your final walls, check the exact exterior openings, count connected cells and passages, and compare your full key with each real gap. A connected graph is not automatically loop-free. Use your own route length; the example’s 59 cells is not a target. Keep the key and adjacency away from player files and require a measured print check. If a detail differs, quote the exact mismatch and the relevant input rule, ask for a complete corrected replacement and recheck it. If an essential fact or capability is missing, keep that part blocked rather than importing a sample value. Preserve the original and save the checked revision separately.

Your starting prompt
Make my original printable orthogonal-cell maze as separate player SVG and spoiler route-key SVG, plus a full symmetric adjacency ledger, ordered route coordinates and a blank print-proof card. Return complete editable source and real PNGs only if actually rendered. Use only my constraints below; ask if they conflict. The player must contain no visible or hidden solution data beyond the necessary wall geometry. Independently derive the cell graph from the actual SVG wall gaps and state which checks were truly run.

MY INPUT
Grid columns and rows; origin, coordinate and movement convention: [replace]
Exact entrance and exit cells/sides; other permitted outside openings: [replace]
All-cell connectivity and cycle/unique-route requirements: [replace]
Cell size, units, canvas/margins and wall width: [replace]
Player/key separation and permitted visible labels: [replace]
Print-proof requirements and unknown constraints: [replace]

Use only MY INPUT; do not copy sample grid size, route, count, openings or print dimensions. Check adjacency symmetrically, connectivity, cycles, exact outside gaps and every key step against the final walls. If a proof or actual rendering is unavailable, say so and leave it open. Do not claim solving difficulty or a physical print result.

Optional: improve the result

Move the exit and derive a fresh key

This optional extension uses only the original synthetic sample. Return to its chat or paste the full original Input, checked player SVG, adjacency and key. Preserve the original edition. No modified exit or new print has been produced for this extension.

Advanced prompt
For the original sample only, create a NEW edition that closes the old east opening at (10,10) and opens the east wall of (10,1). Keep every internal wall, entrance, cell size and canvas unchanged. Reconstruct the final graph and exact two exterior openings, derive the new unique entrance-to-exit route, and create matching separate player/key SVGs plus updated route JSON. Inspect the actual files if supported and provide a fresh blank print-proof card. Do not reuse the old route or infer difficulty. If the original input, actual SVG, adjacency or key is missing, ask me to paste it first.

PLAYER AND KEY
maze-player.svg is the 100 × 100 mm master, with an 80 × 80 mm maze at (10,10). Its 10 × 10 cells have 8 mm spacing and black 0.5 mm walls. There are no visible words or answer data in its source; wall geometry is necessarily present because it is the puzzle. maze-route-key.svg/.png is a separate spoiler file with the same walls and an orange route. The player PNG is an 800 × 800 screen preview, not a calibrated print master.

FULL ROUTE FOR THIS SUPPLIED EDITION
Coordinates are (column, row), one-based from top left. Enter west of (1,1), then follow:
(1,1) → (2,1) → (3,1) → (3,2) → (2,2) → (1,2) → (1,3) → (1,4) → (1,5) → (2,5) → (2,6) → (2,7) → (2,8) → (2,9) → (2,10) → (3,10) → (4,10) → (5,10) → (6,10) → (6,9) → (6,8) → (5,8) → (5,9) → (4,9) → (4,8) → (3,8) → (3,7) → (3,6) → (3,5) → (4,5) → (5,5) → (6,5) → (6,4) → (7,4) → (8,4) → (8,3) → (8,2) → (8,1) → (9,1) → (10,1) → (10,2) → (9,2) → (9,3) → (10,3) → (10,4) → (10,5) → (10,6) → (9,6) → (8,6) → (8,5) → (7,5) → (7,6) → (7,7) → (8,7) → (9,7) → (10,7) → (10,8) → (10,9) → (10,10)
Exit east of (10,10). This is 59 visited cells and 58 internal moves, plus two exterior crossings. The full route is also supplied as JSON and Markdown. A different valid generated layout may have a different route length; 59 is an answer check only for this supplied file.

FINAL-WALL CHECK
The player SVG has 119 unique single-cell wall segments. Reconstructing passages from those actual segments yields 100 connected cells and 99 undirected passages. A connected undirected graph with one fewer edge than vertices is a tree: there is no cycle and exactly one path between any pair of cells. Its only exterior gaps are west of (1,1) and east of (10,10). The complete 100-row adjacency JSON agrees with both directions of every interior gap. The drawn key uses exactly the unique cell route and crosses no wall. The key walls match the player walls.
Eight invalid variants were rejected, including an extra/removed wall, a third opening, blocked entrance, asymmetric adjacency, wrong key, answer leakage and changed physical scale. Actual player/key PNGs were opened at full and 320 px width. The key was kept out of the player file and public guide preview.

UNFINISHED PAPER CHECK
Print the player SVG at actual size / 100%. Measure 8 mm cell spacing and the 80 mm grid extent between wall centerlines; the ink extends 0.25 mm on either side. Follow the separate key against the actual print and confirm both openings. The blank proof card records real observations only after that work. No printer compatibility, solving difficulty, consumer-AI run or measured time saving is claimed.

You’re the final check

Check the worked example.

These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.

Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.

A few things to watch for.

  • Checking only a planned adjacency list while the final drawing accidentally closes or opens another wall.
  • Assuming connected means loop-free; extra passages can create cycles and more than one route.
  • Embedding the answer in player comments, hidden layers or a collapsed section instead of a separate file.
  • Treating the example’s route length as required for every different maze layout.
